Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the INESLEARN operated for INES-Ruhengeri. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who may use the Platform

• Students, lecturers, and authorized staff of INES-Ruhengeri / INES programs.
• Guests may browse public pages and use limited AI Tutor features where enabled.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login secure.

2. Accounts & roles

• Student accounts access enrolled courses, assessments, and learning tools.
• Lecturer accounts may create and manage courses, modules, and related academic content.
• Department administrators may review approvals and institutional reports where permitted.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share login credentials or attempt to access another user’s account.
• Upload unlawful, harmful, plagiarized, or infringing content.
• Abuse AI Tutor, forums, or uploads to harass others or disrupt services.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Platform beyond normal academic use.
• Misrepresent certificates, grades, or enrollment status.

4. Courses, content & certificates

• Course materials remain the property of INES-Ruhengeri, lecturers, or respective rights holders.
• You receive a limited license to use materials for personal academic learning.
• Paid courses or subscriptions are subject to the pricing shown at checkout.
• Digital certificates confirm completion based on Platform records; misuse of certificates is prohibited.

5. AI features

INES AI Tutor and related tools provide assistance and may be incorrect. Always verify important academic or professional decisions with lecturers and official course materials. Do not submit sensitive personal data into AI chats unless necessary.

6. Availability & changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be updated, and these Terms may change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, INES-Ruhengeri and Platform operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform, including AI outputs, temporary outages, or third-party service failures.
